Always Great food and service for a very reasonable price. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Best Pupusa's I've ever had!

The food and service were good! Warm atmosphere and family friendly.
Ordered the asada torta and tacos, shrimp ceviche, and seafood soup. The torta was pretty good and it was huge. Definitely good for the price. The shrimp ceviche was good too! Would recommend a beer with it haha. The seafood soup is only served on the weekends and it was sooo flavorful. I would definitely recommend it!
Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend the tacos. The tortillas didn't taste fresh and tasted like they were warmed up in the microwave. I had the carne asada and carnitas tacos and I didn't like either :(
It was about $50 for 4 people. Not bad. I would like too return and try the shrimp cocktail though! It looked good! -

This is one of my favorite South American restaurants. Truly authentic cuisine and flare. I am so lucky to be just down the street from here! Price is excellent especially for the amount and quality of the food you get. I usually get something I am not sure what it is and always love it. This time was a garlic shrimp lunch with rice, delicious beans, fresh pico de gallo, and fresh salad. Almost all the meals come with all of that! Only Spanish is spoken here which I just love because I feel like I am in South America. Only beer and wine served and coke is served from a glass bottle. This is a must try in east Charlotte if you haven't already.

I came in here cussing and talking in a very sexual way (as usual). Should have gone to El Vulgarcito. They didn't appreciate it.
What I did appreciate were the excellent tamales and delicious Salvadoran food in general. If you want soft gooey creamy Central American style tamales along with some great pupusas and other stuff served by some very attractive people - this is the place to come.
Prices are rock bottom and while some servers are not as friendly as others you really won't care when you taste this wonderful authentic Central American food hidden away in Charlotte, in a spot where almost nobody speaks English - which is always a good sign.
But don't come here for Bulgur Wheat. For that go to El Bulgurcito. -

Not a bad place to grab a pupusa or two. The staff at Pulgarcito were very gracious in accommodating a large party of 15 at the last minute. From start to finish the service was friendly and attentive.
Ordered a reuvelta pupusa which came with an awesome slaw and three different salsas - watch out for the habanero! Also had the fajitas. Not sure I would order them again. It was a ton of a food for $12.99. Honestly you could easily split this dish among two adults.
But alas, the dish was not exactly what I had expected.
The fajitas included broccoli and wasn't as charred as the version I have received at other local establishments. The shrimp however were very large and tasty. If I return, I would probably stick to a shrimp dish and avoid the chicken.
